'Ceramic paintings':

To me my ceramics are three dimensional paintings ...

I love that I can once more connect with my former painting practice.

My work evolves organically ... I am led by my materials and the marks, shapes and textures that they dictate to me ...

As ever inspired and excited by peeling paint, rust, erosion and rotting wood !!

These pieces were definitely the closest that I have so far come in connecting with my former painting practice ...  

Pastels, oil paint, charcoal, oxides, graphite, acrylic paint, ink, tippex ... 

Basically anything else I could lay my painterly fingers on !!

About the Fish Factory:​

The Fish Factory is a multi-function Arts Venue  positioned across 2 sites on Commercial Road in Penryn, Cornwall.

It houses 22 artist work spaces, an art gallery, live music venue, a vegan cafe, a darkroom for hire and a second hand Art book shop.

It brings together people of all ages and from all walks of life in a vibrant artistic community.

Studio residents are local painters, illustrators, printers, potters, mixed media installation artists, writers, graduates and more.
